I really need to post here more.
I miss it. I’ll get on that.
Until then, know that I’m going through proofs of my new book, a middle grade (roughly ages 9-12) fantasy novel set in Sydney, Australia.
Here’s a working draft of the back cover:
All Josie Brown wanted was chicken nuggets.
But when the 14 year-old, loner and music freak, went into the Organic Food Shop on Tamarama Street in Sydney, Australia, what he found instead was a rotting, shrieking, ghost baby trying to send him a message.
That’s when the nightmares started. A monster called Bangkok. Part-squid, part-eel, centuries-old, that stole children from their beds and ate them.
Then Trinket Parsnips, the curly-haired baby girl from across the street, went missing. Josie woke up in her bedroom. The media went nuts. Everyone was sure Josie was a killer.
Only two kids believed he was innocent…
Emerald, new girl at school and daughter of legendary marine biologists, had been following the children’s disappearances since her own mother disappeared at seas. And Rasha, surf star, intimidating wild girl, and sister of one of the missing children.
The three set out to confront the monster inside his gory den of death in the pitch-black freezers of the Organic Food Shop. Will they save the children? Are they already gone? Is Bangkok controlling Josie’s mind? Will his new friends see him through this or turn on him when he needs them most?
Will anyone ever stop the monster known as Bangkok?
For those of you who read my non-fiction, this is completely different – gory, gross, terrifying, more grossness. Flailing, rancid, killer meat carcasses on butcher hooks, half-fish, half-human flesh-eating zombies, a nuked-out squid-octopus, with deranged moray eel tentacles. Also, pig eye-ball eating.
You’ll barely recognize me as a writer.
Haunted Organic will be released March 15, 2018 and will be available in print and digital. Thanks in advance for your support. For reading. For just being so good to me all the damned time.
